Take a look at some of the reviews for her books...
The Horsemen’s Yankee Pedlar gives her book, The Foal Is The Goal, five blue ribbons. “This book opens with a bang, as veteran horse breeder Bastian dedicates this guide to “those who laugh out loud at the sight of a mare that barely fits through the barn door anymore. They go on to say “She hit the mark with this lavishly illustrated and clearly written guide, and is perhaps too humble – there is much good technical information contained herein.
Horse Country exclaims that Tena is meticulous in her insistence on cleanliness and safety, educated decision making and communication and integrity in business dealings. We suggest that you read the book!”
The Gaited Horse says “This is really the best book I’ve seen on breeding and handling mares and stallions. The Author nails it with clear, obvious photos explaining things that words alone do not convey. This book shows years of hard-won horse sense.
Horse Connection declares that “There are several real world examples and full color pictures throughout the text which are always insightful.”
The Horses We’ve Love/The Lessons We’ve Learn will open a door between the estimated sixty million readers that love horses but may not have the opportunity to enjoy them first hand and the people that understand what horses can teach us about our every day lives. These are twenty two amazing stories that are told first hand by someone that lives her daily life discovering all that horses have taught her. Lessons that can easily be applied by anyone regardless of whether they enjoy the pleasure of the company of horses or have never set foot in a barn. This is a book about life; facing adversity, dealing with disappointment and missed opportunities. It is about setting goals and achieving them, second chances and finding your niche in life.
Tena is always excited to share stories of her adventures with horses through speaking with people during her seminars and signing her books and answering questions about the transformative affect that horses have on our lives and all they can teach us about living a more fulfilling, more productive life. She prides herself on finding humor in everyday situations and would love to speak to your group or organization.
